该研究提出通过操作体积约束VFR飞行以实现低空空域整合,为eVTOL和无人机在复杂空域中的协同运行提供了技术路径,对空管系统设计和适航审定标准具有参考价值。
For nearly a century, the sky has been divided into just two regimes: flights flown under visual flight rules, where pilots see and avoid other traffic, and flights flown under instrument flight rules, where air traffic controllers take responsibility for separation. Now that small drones and electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, or eVTOL vehicles, are pushing into the low altitudes below roughly 3,000 feet where helicopters and general aviation have long operated freely, that binary system is showing its age. A new study from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, JAXA, argues that the way forward is neither more VFR nor more IFR, but a hybrid: visual flight operations constrained within carefully designed four-dimensional operation volumes that give the pilot flexibility whil
