Oct 21 BETA Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BETA) has become the first company to secure Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authorization to conduct flight operations with prospective customers in an electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft. The A250 is now authorized to fly with operators and key stakeholders under a Special Airworthiness Certificate for market surveys , issued under Part 21 of the FAA's regulations. The approval follows BETA's earlier market survey authorization for its conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) aircraft.
