Vertical Aerospace 筹集 1 亿美元融资

Vertical Aerospace announced Monday it has lined up approximately $100 million in new financing as the British eVTOL developer works toward certification and production of its Valo aircraft. The funding comes from convertible debt, an equity offering and a preferred-equity facility.

Three-Part Financing

The package includes $40 million from Vertical’s largest shareholder, Mudrick Capital Management, and includes a $5 million draw that has already closed and a planned $35 million draw. Another $35 million will come through an offering of shares and warrants priced at $1.05 per unit, while $25 million is being issued through an existing preferred-equity agreement with Yorkville Advisors Global. The additional Mudrick funding remains subject to definitive agreements.

“As previously communicated, the company continues to evaluate opportunities to raise equity through the capital markets,” a Vertical spokesperson told Sky News on Sunday, a day before the financing was announced.

Certification And Hybrid Testing

Vertical said it plans to use the capital to move Valo through its Critical Design Review, which will establish the aircraft’s certifiable design baseline and allow construction and testing of certification-conforming aircraft. The company also plans to expand its battery-production capacity, develop production facilities in the U.K. and convert its third prototype for hybrid-electric flight testing during the first half of 2027.

The company flew five demonstrations over five days at the Farnborough International Airshow. Valo is a piloted, four-passenger eVTOL, and the company is also developing a hybrid-electric version for longer-range missions. Vertical plans to issue updated cash and liquidity guidance with its half-year results Aug. 13.
